Andy Vaughan and The Driveline
From Richmond VA. Pure country music and heartfelt honky tonk, delivered with soul, grit, energy and passion. A classic sound for modern times.
In the current landscape of mainstream country music, the lines between country, pop, and arena rock are often blurry. But listen to Andy Vaughan & The Driveline, and you'll hear the sounds of Bakersfield, Texas shuffles, hard driving outlaw honky tonk, and "tear in your beer" ballads. Don't take that to mean that this is some retro novelty band rehashing the same old thing with no originality. They borrow from the old, take what's relevant and bring their own sound to the stage. Whether singing about heartache, love, loss, or good times and bad, there is no doubt that this music comes straight from the heart. The original lyrics aim to grab you and the melody will stick with you, long after you've left the bar.

Eric Strickland
Eric Strickland has been writing songs for twelve years. He also won the Trailblazer Award at the 2001 King Eagle Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. He has been involved with community events such as singing at the Johnston Community College Country Music Showcase and other numerous events. He brings an element of the old school honky tonkers to a scene full of clones of other bands. His strong suit is, and always will be, His deeply rooted honky tonk style but I also mix in some newer country and a bit of southern and classic rock.
