Laurelin Kruse is a folk musician based out of New Haven, CT. Originally from a giant alpine desert in southern Colorado, she writes honest and unexpected songs about people, animals, mountains and rocks. Her recordings and live performances, often backed by a full band, are characterized by a panoramic, desert noir sound. After releasing her first album, No Town, in summer 2011 she toured Europe and the West Coast, playing everywhere from a rooftop terrace in Madrid to a bakery on the Mexican border.
