Both groups start with the tradition fo salsa dura, but each branches out in its own way with a diverse crew of members. GarDel writing new songs after its debut EP, this particular show, both bands will be celebrating the Electric Cowbell Records release of Bio Ritmo's new full length album La Verdad.

GarDel's recent Motorco show was a turning point, post-EP-release, in terms of live performance. Picking up confidence from the sold-out release party, GarDel seemed to have exhaled and come back revitalized at the June show, rewriting arrangements to provide more elbow room.
