Singer songwriter Matt MacKelcan has emerged from the southeast with a genuine combination of American soul and folk rock. Matt’s trademarks are a big voice, authentic songwriting, personable nature and an extra dose of funny. He has toured all over America and performed at major festivals/events throughout the country.
Matt released LP From Where I Stand produced by Aaron Tap (Matt Nathanson) has garnered critical acclaim and radio adds with singles “Drive” “Plans” and “Here’s to the Night”. It debuted in the top 40 Singer/Songwriter on the iTunes Charts. Since the LP, Matt has released a string of singles, including “Worth the Wait” (over 100, 000 spotify plays) and live recordings that have been well received and continue to grow his audience He currently is in the studio with producer Craig Meyer (Rachel Platten, Brendan James) will be recording and releasing new music Early 2023 and excited to get back on the road.
Matt has toured and performed with artists such as Matt Nathanson, Martin Sexton, Eric Hutchinson, Corey Smith, Andrew McMahon, Blues Traveler.
