Daley is an acclaimed British singer, songwriter and creative artist hailing from Manchester, UK.
From humble beginnings on the UK’s underground music scene, the British boy who grew up on the sounds of Prince, Chaka Khan, Sade, Radiohead and George Michael – has built an international reputation as a powerful, soul-baring vocal performer and emotionally present songwriter, working with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Damon Albarn, Marsha Ambrosius, Robert Glasper, Jill Scott, Pharrell Williams and Jessie J, seeing Billboard chart success with several chart topping US radio songs and album projects and critical acclaim from The Grammys, MOBOs, Guardian, BET and Soul Train Awards.
His first solo work – the Those Who Wait EP – introduced the world to Daley’s brand of Alternative R&B/Soul/Pop – and an undeniable vocal talent. The project gave rise to an unexpected surge of popularity in the US with Marsha Ambrosius assisted duet ‘Alone Together’ – which became a runaway Top 5 hit at R&B radio and solidified a loyal international fanbase.
His debut album Days & Nights was released shortly after via Universal, to critical acclaim, with contributions from Pharrell Williams, Illangelo (The Weeknd), Bernard Butler (Suede) and Andre Harris (Usher, Justin Beiber) and saw Top 20 singles in the UK charts – ‘Remember Me’ featuring Jessie J and ‘Broken’. The album also birthed Top 10 R&B radio single ‘Look Up’ and was followed by sold-out headline tours around the US and Europe.
After a brief hiatus Daley returned to radio with soaring Top 5 single ‘Until The Pain Is Gone’ featuring Grammy alum Jill Scott, the lead song from sophomore album The Spectrum. The autobiographical project drew on new life experiences, and was dedicated to close friend and manager Richard Antwi, who sadly passed away before it’s release. Sold out headline tours of the US and Europe accompanied this album, along with a special run of ‘Spectrum Unplugged’ dates.
Daley is currently completing work on his third studio album, with a set of exciting new songs and collaborators. The project will usher in his next musical chapter, expanding sonically and conceptually over his alternative-R&B / Soul roots, with the vocal quality and emotional presence he has become known for – so often missing in today’s musical landscape.
