Whether it was a speeding ticket that ruined your day, a judgement that changed your life, or the time you talked your way out of handcuffs with nothing but charm and dumb luck, we've all had run-in with the law. Maybe you were guilty as charged, maybe you were completely innocent, or maybe the truth lives somewhere in the gray area. From encounters with the cops, to neighborhood disputes, to courtroom confrontations and moments where justice took an unexpected turn, on August 19th we want to hear your stories about Law and Order - the rules we follow, the ones we break, and what happens when the long arm of the law comes knocking.
About The Monti StorySLAM (18 & up event)
The Monti StorySLAM is an open storytelling event, where anyone with a story on a certain theme has a chance to tell it. This is a competitive event, so there will be judges in the audience. At each event, there will be eight storytellers chosen at random; each story is five minutes long; one winner will be declared at the end of the night. Here's how you can tell your story:
Our policies are the following:
- We will not offer refunds to any show unless there is a cancellation or postponement of the headlining act (opening acts subject to change without notice).
- For the safety of people at the Event, the venue management and the Organiser reserve the right to refuse admission and conduct security searches as they deem appropriate.
- We reserve the right to refuse admission or to eject any person appearing to be intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, showing signs of COVID-19 including a high temperature or a persistent cough, refusing to wear a mask when required to do so, otherwise behaving dangerously or inappropriately, or for any other behavior likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance and annoyance or for failure to comply with the reasonable request of our staff.
- We do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property brought to the Event.
- We request - but do not currently require - that everyone attending a show be vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Do not attend any event if experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough or loss of taste/smell
- We suggest the patrons wear masks in the indoor spaces at Motorco and Parts&Labor
