Piedmont is a Durham, NC-based band who take inspiration from the ragged impressionism of Neil Young, the classic songcraft of Tom Petty, the experimental pop sensibilities of Wilco, and the epic guitars of My Morning Jacket.
Piedmont includes longtime NC rock and rollers Jim Brantley (Bull City, Ashley Stove), Scott Carle (Dillon Fence, Collapsis, B-sides, Bad Checks, the list goes on), Eric Lee (Thom Thom Club), and Geoff Register (io).
