How old do I have to be to get into the club?
All shows are ALL AGES unless specified otherwise. Please check the show description to verify age limits for specific shows. All shows require a Government issued photo ID or Passport to show proof of age to purchase alcohol. Security is present at every show to verify identification. All patrons under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What are your hours of operation?
Monday – Wednesday: 5PM – 12AM, Thursday – Friday 5PM – 2AM, Saturday Noon-2am, Sunday Noon – 5PM.
How can I get tickets to a Motorco Music Hall show?
Advance tickets are available online. Check the specific event in the show schedule. You can purchase tickets by clicking the button on the event posting. Tickets are available at the door if advance tickets are not sold out.
What’s this Membership thing all about?
Motorco is, by NC laws, a “private club”. So technically you must either be a member or the guest of a member to enter. That’s why we sell 2 types of tickets, General Admission for Members or Guests and General Admission + Membership.
The lifetime membership is an additional $3.
Can I get a refund?
No refunds unless a show is cancelled, in which case, refunds are available at the Motorco bar. You will be refunded automatically if you purchased a ticket through our online ticketing system. Opening bands are subject to change without notice.
What are my payment options at Motorco?
We accept cash, American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
What kind of beverages do you serve?
We have water, soft drinks, beer, wine, and spirits. You must show proof of age with a government issued photo ID in order to be served alcholic beverages at the bar.

Do you serve food?
Yes! Our restaurant, located in the GarageBar side, is called Parts&Labor.
What are the seating arrangements?
For the most part, shows are standing room. We have bleachers available and we have seating in the lounge area. All shows are general admission. The venue is ADA compliant – if you have special needs, please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before doors are scheduled to open.
What time does the show start?
Check the start times for specific shows by checking the show listings. Generally headlining bands go on at 10:00pm. We try our best to keep things on schedule but it’s not always possible because of technical difficulties. So have beer and make some friends.

Can I get in for free?
Probably not unless you’re famous or a member of the press or we owe you a favor or you’re Chris the Plumber. Put “admissions” in the subject line and contact us here to state your case.
Can I bring my camera?
If the band welcomes cameras in the specific show posting, then bring it. Otherwise leave it.
Do you have a Coat Check?
We have a wall of coat hooks just inside the front door. You can park your parka here but Motorco is not responsible for your clothing nor its contents.
Do you have a Lost and Found?
If you lose an item at a show, please call 919.901.0875 or come by the bar the following day. Click here for current operating hours.
Can I smoke in your club?
There is no smoking in Motorco, nonetheless you may venture outside.
Is there re-entry?
Sure. Show the doorman your handstamp and your I.D.
Where do I park?
We have 100 free parking spaces on premises. Additional parking is available on Foster Street across from Man Bites Dog Theater.
Do you rent your space for private events?
Sure. Contact us here and put “private event” in the subject line.
- Enjoy the show but please be respectful of others. You will be promptly ejected if you display any kind of antisocial behavior.
- You will be ejected for throwing ANYTHING.
- You are absolutely not allowed up on stage. Stage diving is strictly prohibited.
- All shows are general admission.
- We reserve the right to search all bags and clothing.
- No outside food or beverages.
- No markers, spray paint, weapons (includes pocket knives), fireworks, etc.)
- Motorco is handicap accessible and ADA compliant. Please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before doors are scheduled to open.
